A Holistic Way to Improve Your Health

Justin M. McClure, LMT

Jin Shin Jyutsu® (JSJ) is a Japanese healing art of releasing tension and harmonizing life energy in the body. JSJ works to balance specific energetic pathways and circulation patterns in the body. Along these pathways are vital energy centers called “Safety Energy Locks” (SELs). Hand placements on the SELs are used in specific sequences to restore the energy flow, bring balance, and enable the body to relax, heal, and rejuvenate.

Although similar to Acupuncture, JSJ makes use of the hands and fingers in place of the needles. This allows the practitioner to assess the body’s response during treatment and makes adjustments as needed. This ensures a gentle and mindful approach that does not overload your system.

How Can JSJ Help Me?

A JSJ practitioner designs a unique treatment plan for each client based upon his/her specific needs at that time. Assessments of the client’s posture, body structure, and wrist pulses along with personal history and overall attitude are some of the factors used in designing a comprehensive treatment plan. In JSJ we refer to any illness, dis-ease, or problem areas, as “projects.” The goal of the treatment is to assist you in working through your projects while restoring balance to the entire system.
